Water pipeline for Mykolaiv – a large-scale infrastructure project to restore water supply

Mykolaiv received fresh water centrally for the first time since the spring of 2022 — this was made possible thanks to the implementation of a large-scale infrastructure project that involved the construction of a new water supply system for the city and the region.

The general contractor was the Avtostrada group of companies, which ensured the rapid and comprehensive restoration of the critically important water supply system of the region.

Sanstore joined the project as a supplier of modern geosynthetic materials, providing the facility with large volumes of:

-geotextiles;

-hydro-dowels;

-geogrids;

-spiked membranes;

-and other engineering materials.

These materials were used to strengthen the structural elements of the water supply system, protect waterproofing systems, and stabilize the foundations, which is critically important for the long-term and safe operation of the infrastructure.

Thanks to the comprehensive use of modern geomaterials, it was possible to ensure the reliability, tightness and stability of structures in difficult operating conditions, as well as accelerate the implementation of a strategically important facility for the region.

This project was an important step in restoring the water infrastructure of Mykolaiv and improving the quality of life of the region's residents.
