WHAT IS A DIMPLED (PROFILED) MEMBRANE?

A dimpled, or profiled membrane, is a waterproofing material made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Its distinctive feature is a textured surface with cone-shaped protrusions (dimples) that create a ventilation gap between the membrane and the protected structure. This design ensures efficient moisture drainage and provides additional mechanical protection.

Main functions of a dimpled membrane:

• Waterproofing — prevents groundwater and surface water from penetrating building structures.
