Boramax ultra-thick waterproofing compound is a one-component, ready-to-use liquid sealing compound based on acrylic resin dispersion and fillers for moisture protection.

The product is used for seamless waterproofing under ceramic tiles. It can be used to seal walls and floors in rooms with non-pressurized water, such as bathrooms, toilets, laundry rooms and kitchens.

It is recommended to apply around showers, washbasins, bathtubs and sinks.

The waterproofing mixture also works perfectly as a thermal and waterproofing of foundations, basements and sloping surfaces - balconies and terraces. It adheres perfectly to such bases as: cement-lime plasters, drywall, chipboard, concrete bases.

The product can be used on floors, walls and in underfloor heating systems. For indoor and outdoor use.

APPLICATION:

Application of moisture-resistant sealing coatings in a thin layer from 1 mm to 3 mm in bathrooms, showers, laundry rooms, basements, terraces, balconies, etc.
Excellent adhesion to substrates such as cement-lime plasters, plasterboards, chipboard, cement and anhydride screeds, ceramic blocks and Suporex cellular concrete. It is also suitable for old tiles and wooden substrates.
Ideal for vertical insulation due to its increased viscosity and density.

USING:

The waterproofing mixture should be opened and stirred well. Old, poorly adhering, brittle or flaking base layers should be removed. Prime porous, absorbent and weak bases with Boramax deep penetration primer.

Expansion joints and connections of walls, floors, utilities - you must first install a waterproofing tape.

The surface must be flat, dry, clean and free of salt efflorescence.

Apply 2-3 coats depending on the needs, outdoors - 3. Apply the first coat with a roller, brush, trowel. Apply the second coat in the same way approximately 2-4 hours after applying the first.

The thickness of the resulting coating should be 1.5-2 mm. After complete drying (at least 24 hours), you can start laying tiles. Use elastic adhesive type C2 for this.

Consumption from 1.5 kg/m2 of surface at a thickness of 1.5 mm.
