8010 Aerator for bitumen roof, 34x44x8.5cm, green color
The Maxiflow pitched roof aerator is used in bitumen roofs. It is made of high-quality and impact-resistant polyethylene. On one side it has an outlet for creating ventilation in the under-roof space.
The aerator is installed only if the roof is insulated. Ventilation is needed for the insulation so that it does not gain moisture from the heat rising from the under-roof space. After all, when it gets wet, it will lose all its thermal insulation properties, and will also begin to rot and become covered with mold.
In order to ensure proper and reliable ventilation, it is necessary to install 1 aerator for every 25 m 2 of roof. Installation is carried out before installing the bitumen shingles themselves. The higher it is mounted, the better the air draft.
Installation of a sloped aerator is carried out in 4 simple steps:
- Cut a hole in the roofing
- Install the through element (part of the kit) into it. Its lower part should overlap the shingle of the bottom row of tiles.
- Nail to the base
- Coat the surface of the aerator with mastic, and place tiles on top, completely covering the base of the aerator.
