Description

Sheet insulation made of chemically crosslinked polyethylene foam has many applications in the construction sector. It is used between walls, floating floor systems, under parquet and underfloor heating systems, plasterboard, metal structures, as a sound and heat insulation board from the foundation to the roof.

The material has a density of 30kg/m3, but can be both higher and lower. Material with this density is ideal for use under the screed. It acts as a sound insulation against impact noise. It has acoustic test protocols, which indicate the thickness and level of noise reduction.

5mm – 28dB
8mm – 30dB
10mm – 31dB
The material can also be 3mm thick, used as a substrate for laminate. And thicknesses of 10, 15 and 20mm can be used as noise insulation for ventilation systems, thermal insulation for pipes, or even cut as carpet mats.

For the installation of a screed using chemically cross-linked polyethylene foam, we recommend the use of a construction protective film and tapes for gluing joints and seams: XPE tape 50 or 70 mm wide (3 mm thick) or Duct Tape.
